If This Then That: Offline Reading

Tools • 17 Aug 2012

My recent favorite lifehacking tool is to connect an automated rss-feed to an offline reader application. Result: always have something interesting to read on your smartphone while you are commuting underground or offline.

In my particular case the IFTTT recipe is:

IF rssfeed article THEN save to POCKET

IF #hashtag twitter article link THEN save to POCKET

POCKET (formerly Read it Later) allows you to bookmark interesting articles which will then be stored offline so you can read it later on any device.

IFTTT is a service that lets you create powerful connections with one simple statement: If This Then That; It’s a simple automation tool for people who do or do not know how to program or develop their own software.

You simply connect to all sorts of channels each with their own options. It’s then up to you to create meaningful connections to enhance your digital life.

You can also browse other people’s recipes and re-purpose them for your own solutions.
